These works are silhouettes taken from the Standing works, reinterpreting the faces in a sculptural way.
The Standing patterns were used for quilting. They were embroidered with red wool thread along the entire perimeter and then painted with acrylic.
The blue and red of the materials reflect the colors of the traditional patterns.
