Sedie

In the streets of Torino if you pay attention, you can see chairs (sedie) along the street.
Chained to the railings, missing a leg, overturned, sometimes destroyed.
They are the chairs of prostitutes, who have to chain them for fear that someone will steal them or take them away,
as if to underline that they are not welcome there.

I made the first engravings starting from the photographs of the chairs of the prostitutes in my area.
I used the toner transfer technique, that allows you to obtain prints with a photographic rendering, with a lived-in feel.
