Portraits

This series of portraits symbolizes the end of an artistic
journey that took place between March and June 2025.
The women depicted participated in the Invisible workshops,
contributing to the creation of collective artworks.
At the end of the painting meetings, they asked me to paint
some portraits, which I donated to them.
The same thing had happened a few years earlier, and the
president of Piam told me that some of the girls had kept
the painting hanging in their bedrooms for years.
He added that I shouldn’t focus on these girls’ pasts or
what they will decide to do in the future; the only thing that
matters is that while we paint together, I’ve managed to
engage them, inspire their passion, and create a relationship
with them.
When those portraits are hung on their bedroom walls, we
will have truly won.
