Waiting

This painting was made in collaboration with Progetto Tenda Onlus, with whom I held workshops not in a halfway house, but in a meeting space of the association. The context was therefore more neutral and not everyday.

The women took considerable part in the painting and it made me happy to see them try and experiment with color.
They tened to fill with flat areas of color inside the outlines that I drew.

The poses spontaneously adopted by the women are very static: waiting, sitting on chairs, and sadly recall the routine of when they were forced onto the street.
