Silhouettes-Joy and Florence

The Silhouettes paintings follow the very first freer workshops and are the first examples of full-length portraits of the girls.

It was interesting how the women' perception of themselves and their bodies in relation to the sheet of paper was very altered:
I often helped them to reposition themselves so as not to come out of the paper.

The result is certainly very curious, in fact the poses are sometimes awkward or unusual.
For this reason I am reusing this process in my most recent works.
Virginia Chihota inspired me, with some of her prints with figures on empty backgrounds.
