Silhouettes-Juliana

This works belongs to the Silhouettes series and it was the first time I experimented with this approach.
I’ve noticed a certain amount of hilarity from women when I ask them to lie down on the paper to trace their outlines, but once the initial embarrassment has passed, it’s a very engaging activity.
This step was very important on a conceptual level: for the girls to understand the importance of their actual presence in the work and for me to realize how important it is to report the exact proportions and poses of their bodies.
